The U.S. currency fell slightly against the euro on Tuesday after U.S. data suggested the Federal Reserve's interest rate tightening would be rather slow than aggressive. Annual growth in the core personal consumption expenditures price...

...index was 1.5% in June after May's downwardly revised 1.5%. Personal spending dropped 0.7% in June, well below forecasts, while personal income rose a mere 0.2%. Oil prices hit a new record, with U.S. prices exceeding $44 per barrel. This afternoon market players will look at reports on factory orders and durable goods. The Institute for Supply Management also releases its non-manufacturing index, which is expected to show a rise to 61.0 in July from previous month's 59.9.

Bearish investors' sentiment towards the CEE region hit the crown yesterday. The currency lost nearly a third of a percent versus the euro on the day to close the session at 31.78.
